Justin, you're the only person I gave this link to. But that also means that you're the only person capable of being brave enough to read this! Unless you didn't read it... But even then, you're the only one who CAN read it. Would you even be brave at that point? Man, we're really getting into the philisophical questions now, aren't we? We sure are... That begs the question. What makes one brave? Is one truly brave for reading a text file? I mean, it's right there and it's not like there's a real risk. The risk is IMPLIED, sure. But does that really make someone brave? Hmm, a real thinker right there. The constructs of our society hold brave people on a pedestal for simply having the ability to overcome fear, but who's to say that's truly a noble quality? It goes against nature itself! We are hard coded with fear in order to keep us following the very instincts that kept us alive for hundreds of thousands of years, and someone is to be worshipped for going against that nature? For what purpose? Simply because they weren't held immobile by the notion that death could arrive sooner? Some might describe that as being suicidal. But instead, we treat people with this... mental mutation, if you will, as some sort of low level diety. Like they're greater than that of humanity's past for simply going against their basic nature. The logic just doesn't seem to align in any way that proves a true positive or heroic significance, don't you think? So I ask again, are you truly brave for opening a basic text file? Based on this argument, it would be fair to surmise that bravery is simply a foolhardy quality. But does it even apply to this situation? One might think so, but again I point out that there's no inherent risk whilst opening a text file like this! So I err on the side of it being unrelated! Sure, there's probably some college professor out there who disagrees. A man, I presume, who is so beaten down by the life he thought would provide a stable income and happiness, but in reality he sits in front of his television wondering which hard liquors he should mix next in a futile attempt to drown his troubles in the bottom of a whisky glass... His students aren't learning due to the absurdly rapid growth of AI, his own mind grows numb of seeing the same speech patterns in every essay and reseach paper he reads. Slight variations exist due to the usage of different LLMs, but they all express the same lifeless structure regardless of what company claims it's the "latest in anti AI detection writing." He can't even manage to convince his colleages join him in his pursuit to end the struggle against it, they're all younger than himself and got their degrees with the same method their students use. He's surrounded by people who think with a third party tool. Yet, he gets himself up in the morning every day to go to work and still tries his hardest to ensure his students learn something. He still gives it his all no matter how much the students rely on AI models to do the learning for them. Is that not TRUE BRAVERY? To put ones own struggles aside in order to focus on the greater good?! If not this, then what even is bravery? Is there truly such a thing?! Surely... Surely this is the true meaning of the word... This took me like 10 minutes to write. I didn't even know what I was going to write when I made the file. I didn't plan on more than 2 or 3 lines. How did it end up like this?
